This year's $7,500 scholarship,
awarded to the winner of KC SuperStar, will be named in loving memory of Brooke
Tivol McGrath. Through this scholarship award, Brooke's family honors her love
of music and performance.
"Throughout her short
life, our daughter Brooke expressed a love of music, dance, and the
theater. From starring in Miss Bab's preschool production of Cinderella
to solos in the Pembroke Hill a capella group, Singly None, Brooke loved music
in all its forms. We feel so fortunate to be given the opportunity to
honor Brooke's life with this scholarship."
